It’s November, and we’ve been in full swing enjoying all that Autumn and Winter have to offer. I can’t believe that we’re fast approaching Baby Lighty’s third Christmas! Where has that time gone? It must be true, time flies when you’re having fun. So here’s what we’ve been having fun with this month. Here’s what we’ve liked and loved in November:
Remember, Remember the Fifth of November…
Last year, we took Baby Lighty to his very first fireworks display. He was a little wary, but mostly seemed to enjoy it, so we thought we’d try again this year. We went to a local display again, but a different one to last year. It was billed as a bit of a fair, but actually it fell a little bit short of that. However, we made the most of it, and Baby Lighty enjoyed dancing the time away while we waited for the display (he most definitely did not enjoy the teacups!!).
I popped him in our trusty sling for the main event itself, which was a wise move. As the first fireworks fizzled and popped into life, he said to me “I no like it Mummy!” Fortunately, I realised that it was the noise that was scaring him, so I popped his hood over the top of his hat to muffle it a bit, and that seemed to calm him down. Although halfway through, he did say to me, “that’s enough now Mummy!” Erm, I don’t think it quite works like that Baby Lighty when you’re at a public display…!Christmas Magic at Marsh Farm
Once bonfire night was over, we kicked off our Christmas festivities in earnest it seemed! We were lucky enough to have been invited to Marsh Farm’s Christmas Experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! You can read the full review here, but suffice to say we left feeling extremely Christmassy!
Switching on Christmas
Ever since Baby Lighty’s first Christmas, we’ve made it a bit of a tradition to visit our local lights switch on. It’s a lovely event with street performers, a bit of a Christmas market and lots of mulled wine!! This year was no exception, and it was lovely catching up with old friends too!
And that’s November pretty much sewn up! There have been a few grown up outings too, which have been lovely. Lots that we’ve liked and loved this November, and now we’re on the slippery sleigh ride into Christmas! See you next month, with the last instalment of 2017!Disclaimer: Please note, we were gifted the tickets to Marsh Farm and invited as guests to the Christmas Experience at Marsh Farm in exchange for an honest review. All opinions here and in the main review are my own.
